Snowflake's core platform: a managed cloud data warehouse and application platform sold by consumption, where compute runs in virtual warehouses charged in Platform Credits and stored data is charged per terabyte per month.[1][2] It is sold in four editions — Standard, Enterprise, Business Critical and Virtual Private Snowflake — whose credit price rises with the edition and varies by cloud provider and region; new accounts start on a 30-day trial with $400 of free credits.[1][3] Captured on 2026-09-18 for the reference region AWS US East (Northern Virginia), the on-demand list price is $2.00 per Platform Credit on Standard, $3.00 on Enterprise, $4.00 on Business Critical and $6.00 on Virtual Private Snowflake, with standard storage at $23.00 per TB per month; Virtual Private Snowflake also carries an annual deployment fee quoted only on an order form.[2]
