About
Snowflake Postgres is a managed PostgreSQL-compatible transactional database that runs inside a Snowflake account, so operational tables sit next to the analytics platform without a separate pipeline.[1] Its compute is metered in Platform Credits per hour by instance family, cloud provider and whether high availability is on, and its storage is priced separately from standard Snowflake storage.[2] Captured on 2026-09-18 for the reference region AWS US East (Northern Virginia), storage costs $117.76 per TB per month, or $235.52 with high availability, and compute starts at 0.0068 Platform Credits per hour for the smallest burst instance; a Platform Credit costs $2.00 on Standard edition there.[2]
