About
Snowflake Cortex AI is Snowflake's set of AI features (model inference, AI functions in SQL, document parsing and agents) that run against data already held in a Snowflake account, called from SQL or through APIs.[1] It is billed apart from platform compute, in AI Credits: an AI Credit costs $2.00 on demand for globally served models and $2.20 for models served in the account's own region, and each feature converts its tokens, messages or compute time into AI Credits at its own published rate.[2]
