Datadog bills Log Management in two parts: a per-gigabyte charge for ingesting, processing and archiving logs, and separate per-million-event charges for keeping them searchable, either in the Standard Indexing tier or in the cheaper Flex tiers for infrequently read logs.[1] Retention longer than 30 days in the Standard tier is quoted by sales, and forwarding logs to a customer's own destinations is priced per outbound gigabyte per destination.[1] Listed rates are annual-commitment prices with higher on-demand rates beside them, payable in US dollars.[1][2]
