AlloyDB for PostgreSQL is Google Cloud's PostgreSQL-compatible managed database, deployed as clusters of instances that share one scalable storage layer per region.^[1] It is billed on usage for CPU and memory, database and backup storage, networking and extended support.^[1] Compute is charged per vCPU hour and per GiB-hour of memory at rates that vary by machine series and region, with lower effective rates under one- or three-year committed use discounts; there is no free tier listed.^[1]
