About

Transactional Email, formerly Mandrill, is Mailchimp's delivery API for one-to-one messages such as receipts and password resets, bought in prepaid blocks of 25,000 sends with a lower per-block rate at higher volumes, from $20 a block down to $10 above 4 million emails a month.[1] It is sold as an add-on to the monthly Standard and Premium marketing plans rather than as a standalone subscription.[2] A dedicated IP is an optional monthly extra, and high-volume pricing is quoted by sales.[1]
