About

Splunk sells software for searching, monitoring and analysing machine data, used for security operations and for observability of applications and infrastructure; it has operated since 2003 and is now part of Cisco.[1] Its data platform comes as Splunk Cloud Platform or the self-managed Splunk Enterprise, its security line is led by Splunk Enterprise Security with SOAR and Attack Analyzer beside it, and its observability line covers Observability Cloud, Agent Observability, AppDynamics, IT Service Intelligence and On-Call.[4] Prices are set by data ingested, workload, host, CPU core or user depending on the product, and many plans are quoted only through sales.[4] Customers buy under the Splunk General Terms, with Splunk LLC of San Jose, California as the contracting party.[3]
