FortiGate is Fortinet's network firewall line; FortiGate-VM is its virtual appliance for private and public clouds, licensed by the number of CPUs it may use and sold as a subscription, usually bundled with Fortinet's threat-protection services.[1][5] Fortinet sells it through partners rather than publishing a price: resellers such as CDW list one-year renewals by vCPU count,[5] UK public-sector buyers can order it through G-Cloud 15 suppliers,[1] and Fortinet itself sells it on AWS Marketplace with an hourly per-instance charge that includes the licence.[4]
