About
Retool is a San Francisco-based software company, founded in 2017 by CEO David Hsu, that develops a low-code platform for building internal business applications.[3] The platform connects directly to a company's existing databases, APIs, and internal systems, so teams can build production apps, workflows, and mobile tools that run under their existing permissions, and it is used by over 10,000 organizations.[4][1] Retool is sold on public per-builder and per-internal-user plans spanning a free tier up to a contact-sales Enterprise plan, with both cloud and self-hosted deployment.[2] Its published customer agreements are the Master Subscription Agreement for Enterprise customers and the Customer Terms of Service for self-serve plans.[5]
