About
MongoDB is an American software company founded in 2007 as 10gen and later renamed after its document database.[1][2] The company sells that database both as Atlas, a fully managed cloud service priced per hour by cluster tier, and as Enterprise Advanced, a self-managed subscription offered through sales.[3] Its published customer agreement for self-managed subscriptions is the MongoDB Customer Agreement, which caps each party's liability at the trailing twelve months' fees and is governed by New York or English law depending on the customer's region.[4]
