About
Confluent is a data-streaming software company headquartered in Mountain View, California, co-founded by Jay Kreps, Jun Rao and Neha Narkhede, the original creators of Apache Kafka.[1] It was founded in 2014 and its shares trade on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ticker CFLT.[2] Confluent's own site sells four streaming product lines built around Apache Kafka: the fully managed Confluent Cloud, the self-managed Confluent Platform, the bring-your-own-cloud WarpStream, and Confluent Private Cloud.[3] Software downloaded from Confluent's site outside a subscription is governed by the Confluent License Agreement, last updated 24 July 2024.[4]
